Fiorella's Jack Stack (Freight House)

The Freight House home of the crown prime beef rib
Fiorella's Jack Stack (Freight House) is a barbecue restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Freight House Jack Stack occupies a beautifully restored rail freight building in the Crossroads, folding the Fiorella family's decades of hickory tradition into one of the more striking dining rooms in Kansas City barbecue. It's the polished end of the spectrum—reservations on weekends, a full bar, and white-tablecloth ambition served on a barbecue budget.
The crown prime beef ribs remain the signature: massive, hickory-smoked, and rich enough to anchor a table on their own. Lamb ribs are the sleeper order that few other KC pits even attempt, and the hickory pit beans and cheesy corn bake are sides people cross town to eat. The bar program here runs the deepest of any Jack Stack location. Dress it up and make a night of it; the beef ribs earn the occasion and the restored depot does the rest of the work.
